My story

FIV+ FELV+ DOB: 2/27/2021 *Bonded to Gordito* Hey there, I'm Angelo. Although my fur may be as pure as the clouds in the sky, my journey has been anything but ordinary. You see, I am FIV and feline leukemia positive, but please know that doesn't define me. It just makes me all the more special!  I’m  a social butterfly, always ready to strike up a conversation with anyone who crosses my path. Whether it's a gentle meow or a hearty purr, I love to chat and share my thoughts with the world. Gordito and Angelo are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.  They are both FIV+ as well as feline leukemia positive.  They can live in a home with dogs or other feline leukemia positive cats. One of the biggest misconceptions about feline leukemia, which suppresses a cat’s immune system, is that it is an automatic death sentence. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection.  FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered.
