My foster writes: Casper is neutered, crate trained, and potty trained. If you take away one thing from Casper, it's that he LOVES his humans. All he wants is to be around his favorite people-ideally snuggling under a blanket, but just being in the same room will do! Casper is super go-with-the-flow-he's happy to provide playful energy or snuggle on the couch. While he loves a long walk - he even went on miles-long adventures in his previous foster home - most days he's snuggled up while I work from home! Personality:Casper is so goofy and full of life! At 6 years young, he has the perfect balance of energy and relaxation. He's known for spinning in circles when excited and when he's done with his zoomies, he'll politely ask to snuggle on the couch, wrapping himself in blankets.Energy level: Moderate-loves long walks but quickly settles in for a nap. Favorite activities: Long relaxed walks, playing tug, and snuggling under a blanket.Social Skills with People & Animals:Casper is incredibly social and bonds quickly. He greets guests like long-lost friends! While he does pull and jump or get excited when seeing dogs and bikes on walks, his last foster noted he was friendly off-leash with other dogs. During a temporary foster stay, he was curious about a cat but didn't interact since the cat wasn't a fan of dogs. He currently lives with two guinea pigs and enjoys sniffing them through the cage. Training & Behavior:Casper is house trained and crate trained. He's eager to learn, especially with treats! He originally only knew "sit" and "go to bed," but now he's fully house trained and knows: Sit, stay, come, down, up "Go to bed" (crate), "leave it," "wait" Marker word "yes" and release words "okay" & "let's go" Most of the time, he doesn't pull on the leash, but he does react when seeing other dogs. We believe it's excitement/barrier frustration, as he enjoys dogs off-leash. His tolerance is improving daily and after one training session he has improved so much. His ideal owner would continue to work on his on-leash skills around other dogs. Ideal Forever Family:Casper would thrive in a home that gives him love and attention. He doesn't have separation anxiety but loves being with his people! His ideal time alone would be 5 hours or less. He's easygoing and happy to sleep in-no firm morning walk schedule needed! His ideal day includes 3-4 walks or potty breaks and lots of snuggling. His adopter should continue working on his leash skills. Once Casper trusts you, he is the most loyal and eager-to-learn boy ever! A family with older children would be best. Casper can get mouthy during play-he doesn't bite but likes having a hand in his mouth. When ultra excited, he may jump (mainly during zoomies), but he's very polite when greeting new people. Primary Color: Cream Weight: 57.8 Age: 7yrs 0mths 1wks
