My story

Shay is a delightful bundle of personality with a dash of sass and a whole lot of love to give. This spirited cat is looking for her forever home—preferably one with plenty of sunny spots, feather toys, and a soft place for her to perch and supervise her humans. She’s independent, playful yet graceful, and full of quirks that will keep you endlessly entertained. Whether she’s bird watching from the window or bringing you her favorite stuffed mouse, Shay’s unique charm will win your heart in no time. Shay previously lived in a home with another cat. While she showed interest in playing and getting along, the resident cat was territorial and didn’t take kindly to Shay’s presence. Fun Facts to Learn about Shay: Feather toys are life! Shay can’t resist a good feathery chase. She’s an independent lady, but when the mood strikes, she’ll surprise you with her affection. Speedy paws alert! Shay is an incredibly quick lady and always ready to play. Food is the way to Shay’s heart—she’s always ready for a tasty treat. Shay’s kisses aren’t just sweet; they’re nose-to-nose moments of pure love. Stretching is a favorite hobby. Whether it’s horizontal or vertical, her stretches are irresistibly cute. Her prized possession is a tiny stuffed mouse she carries everywhere, and if you’re lucky, she might share it with you. Balance queen! Her throne of choice is the upper backrest of a computer chair. Shay loves her chin scratches! Bird watching is her jam—whether it’s outside the window or on TV, she’s always on the lookout. Shay’s got a knack for door-pushing. She just loves being with her humans! She is a big fan of water. Any time of day, she enjoys a nice cold drink. Dislikes: Shay can get a little overstimulated with too much petting—but she’ll let you know when she’s had enough. Paws off her paws—Shay isn’t a fan of them being touched. Brushing isn’t her favorite, but she’ll put up with it if a meal is involved. Shay prefers to keep her paws on the ground unless she’s really warmed up to you. Shay will be available for adoption this Saturday (5/10) at the Natural Pet Food and Supplies store in Murrieta from 10am to 2pm.
