My story

Cassius is a medium-sized bundle of joy with a big heart and an even bigger love for treats. This happy-go-lucky pup is eager to please, especially if there’s a snack involved—he already knows how to sit on command (though he doesn’t always hold it for long!) and takes treats ever so gently from your hand. He`s been working on learning to lay on command, though he could just be following the direction of the treat! Cassius has a playful, puppy-like energy and is still learning the ropes. He gets excited easily—expect some joyful jumping and a little leash nibbling when he’s extra revved up—but he settles down nicely after burning off some energy. Once he`s had a chance to explore, he walks much more calmly on leash. He’s very affectionate and loves being pet, especially those magical butt scratches. Cassius has done well with other dogs in shelter playgroups and would likely enjoy a doggie playmate with a similar energy level. He’ll thrive in a home that can match his enthusiasm. He has been patiently waiting for a home for over a year now. Through it all, he’s stayed cheerful, affectionate, and full of life. He’s still dreaming of the day he gets to curl up in a place—and with a person—he can finally call his own.Cassius es un cachorro de tamaño mediano lleno de alegría, con un gran corazón y un amor aún mayor por las golosinas. Este cachorro despreocupado está deseando complacer, especialmente si hay una golosina de por medio. Ya sabe sentarse cuando se le ordena (¡aunque no siempre aguanta mucho tiempo!) y acepta las golosinas con mucha delicadeza de la mano. Ha estado aprendiendo a echarse cuando se le ordena, ¡aunque podría simplemente seguir la dirección de la golosina! Cassius tiene una energía juguetona, propia de un cachorro, y todavía está aprendiendo. Una vez que ha tenido la oportunidad de explorar, camina con mucha más calma con la correa. Es muy cariñoso y le encanta que lo acaricien, especialmente esos mágicos rasguños en el trasero. Cassius se lleva bien con otros perros en grupos de juego de refugios y probablemente disfrutaría de un compañero de juegos con un nivel de energía similar.
