My story

Are you ready for Dexter to stealthily steal your heart? You’ll love Dexter, a 7-year-old dog who will charm you with his inquisitive gaze and willingness to learn. Despite his age, Dexter is agile and intelligent; his trainer would give him a gold medal in the DoggOlympics! Although he hasn't been around cats too often, he has met two and was curious but didn't lunge or chase them. With slow and supervised effort, he would likely get along fine with cats and small dogs. He'd also do great with a veteran or senior who still has some pep in their step. When he's not out and about, Dexter enjoys snuggling up on the couch with his humans while watching Netflix. Give this sweetheart a loving home in his  elder  years, especially this Holiday season. Please foster or adopt Dexter!  Age: 7 years  Weight: 55 lbs  Temperament: good with all adults, and enjoys other dogs his size or larger, should be fine with older respectful kids  and cats Vetting: Neutered, up to date on vaccines,  heratworm  negative  Training: House trained, crate trained, knows sit, down, stay/wait, his name, follow, come, look, and touch.  To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
