My story

Simon is a sweet young sir who is far too polite to tell you what to do- so don’t listen to what Simon says… Listen to what we say!! Hurry down to the shelter to scoop up this perfect pooch today! Simon is a young, playful pup who will thrive with a bit of training and routine in his life. He found himself at risk and spent several weeks in a home- here’s what his foster said:“Simon is a very energetic and happy boy. He is not 100% housebroken but is getting there (he has on occasion excitedly piddled when meeting someone new). He is fairly well crate trained and usually will go right into the crate. Simon rarely barks. He was reactive to a horse, so may do best in a home without livestock. Simon was around two small dogs- he initially wanted to chase them but over time became calm around them. He would need to be introduced slowly to any small dogs in a future home. Simon is still learning how to play with toys. He knows the sit command and usually will come when whistled at (unless he is playing with a toy outside, than all bets are off!)Simon has been doing well with muzzle training and it seems to bring his energy level down a bit. We used the muzzle quite a bit when introducing him to small dogs and it will be a valuable tool for him. Simon loves to be around people and seems eager to please. He can sometimes jump, so we were working on this. He is very affectionate and loves attention.”Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:“Simon loves people and he’s a good boy. Every time I walk by his kennel he’s wagging his tail like nuts with his sweet smile. He wants to hug volunteers all the time but listens to “uh uh”. I love this handsome guy!”Simon has been playful and social when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Simon today!!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt SIMON*, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
