My story

Turbo’s journey has been anything but smooth, but this resilient 5-year-old Hound dog is still holding out hope for a family who will give him the forever home he deserves. After arriving at our shelter as a stray in April, Turbo faced a roadblock when his previous owners refused to reclaim him due to the neuter requirement mandated by city ordinance. He spent five months in our care before finding what we thought was his happily-ever-after—only to be returned when his adopters faced an unexpected move.True to his name, Turbo embraces life at full speed. He’s happiest when he’s outside, nose to the ground, soaking in all the scents the world has to offer. Long walks, outdoor adventures, or simply exploring a backyard—these are the things that light Turbo up.This incredible dog is housetrained, great with other dogs, and gentle with kids. He’s the kind of companion who’s ready to match your pace, whether you’re hiking a trail or unwinding at the end of the day. Turbo’s story may have had its share of twists, but he’s ready to write the next chapter with a family who will love him unconditionally. Could that be you?
