Oaklyn

My story

Hello! My name is Oaklyn, and I am in search of my happily furever after home! I love do the people and other dogs but I will need a person or family that will respect my need to go slow, especially with men. Little kids tend to make me a bit nervous with all their running around, so I would do better in a home with older children or adults only. I have had a bunch of foster fur siblings but my foster Mom has let me get to know them at my own pace and when I was comfortable. So, if you have a resident canine, a slow and steady introduction would be the perfect way to go! I haven’t been around cats but do have a pretty high prey drive so cats and other small animals are off the list for me. My foster mom says that I have a LOT of energy- in fact, she takes me to something called barn hunt classes, where I get to use my nose, climb on hay bales and search things out. It is amazing! And, I get to use up my energy and have a great time doing it! My instructor says I would be excellent in scent or nose work activitie,too. My foster mom did a DNA test which showed that I’m a mix of a Dutch Shepherd, German Shepherd and Staffordshire Terrier. At more than 70#, I just so happen to be at eye level with kitchen countertops but I never counter surf! I’m already pretty big girl and will likely fill out some more.
