My story

Hi… I’m Toby Keith, I am a 6 or 7 year old Shih Tzu. Sadly my family didn’t care enough about me to keep me safe and I found myself at an animal shelter. No-one came to take me home. Apparently that’s not unusual but I’m a special boy – You wouldn’t know it but I’m completely blind and the Vet told my foster mom that I had been blind for a long time. My foster mom said I didn’t act blind and my eyes look perfectly normal but I can't see. I love it when she lets me cuddle beside her and sometimes she lets me sleep with her. I am looking for a home with a family who will love me forever even though I am blind. Its OK if my new home has another dog as long as its a similar size as me.. I like cats and older kids as long as they know how to treat animals. I can completely navigate around my foster home, including going to the back door but I do need some work with house-training so I will need someone to be home often with me. Apart from not being able to see I am in good health and will make you a loving companion for many years.
