My story

Hi there! My name is Carmel-though my friends affectionately call me Peanut because, well... I`m just a tiny gal, tipping the scales at a mighty 11 pounds! I`m an adult Chihuahua mix on the lookout for a cozy spot to call my own-whether that`s a temporary foster home or a forever place in your heart. Let me tell you a little more about myself:I am a sweet and loving girl but, like most chihuahuas, I need very slow introductions with new people. I`d do best in a calm, adult-only home with folks who understand that good things take time, and who will respect my need for space early on. Once I trust you, though? I`ll be climbing into your lap, smothering you with kisses, and soaking up all the snuggles I can get.I`m a pretty quiet little lady overall, but I`ll definitely let you know if someone`s at the door (I mean, someone`s gotta sound the alarm, right?). I previously lived with three other small dogs, and while I definitely made myself at home, not all dogs appreciate my `main character energy.` If you have other pups, a slow intro and meet-and-greet will help us figure out if we`re a good fit. I`m potty trained and comfortable in a crate as long as I`ve got a good chew to keep me busy, and let me just say-I`m obsessed with treats. Big or small, crunchy or soft... if it`s edible, I`m all ears. And toys? Oh, I`m a huge fan of those too.If you`re looking for a tiny dog with a big personality, I might just be your girl.
