You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bull is a nose-booping boy with a classic Pyr look. He is medium energy and has many house skills, including being crate-trained and housebroken. He’s done well with cats and is happy and playful with other dogs of all sizes, such as his two foster siblings which include an 8-pound Yorkie, and 120-pound Anatolian mix! He prefers female dogs as companions, but is tolerant of the males. Bull has long, soft white fur and LOVES being brushed. He is learning to walk on leash, doesn’t dig, and rarely barks but to alert to strangers near your property. His foster mom reports that he has several basic commands down, including coming when called and laying down for pets. Bull enjoys a calm environment, so a home with respectful or older kids would be best. He will protect his kibble around unfamiliar dogs, so separate feeding is recommended until he gets to know his new pack. In addition to all of his playful silliness, he gives nose boops to his favorite people and has a sweet smile. If you have a home with a 6’ fence, a cat, a female dog, and enjoy a firm routine, Bull could be a perfect fit! - Written by M.M. If you call or e-mail you are reducing your chances of adopting this animal as we direct our time and energy to first serving those who apply. NYS Registered Non-Profit Rescue # RR102. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. February 17, 2025, 4:38 pm
