Please check here for updated adoption hours. My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I am a social yet independent, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home!Baby Gray has made tremendous improvement since her first assessment. She was coaxed forward with treats, allowed and enjoyed all petting, leaning in for cheek rubs and raising her tail. She used to overstimulate but that is now absent and she is a sweet and gentle cat, who should still be given a slow introduction to people and the home. She tolerated being picked up giving one slightly plaintive meow but was otherwise calm, including after she was set back down.Baby Gray interacts with the observer, solicits & appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in her previous behaviors when she was more fearful as a New Hope only cat and how that may pertain to her adjustment to a new home. See behavior assessment history for more info.My current foster writes:When I first met Baby Grey, I couldn't see how a cute, silly namewould fit this beautiful, elegant looking kitty. But as we got toknow each other, I discovered that this beautiful elegant kitty ISplayful and silly! She is a tiny little goofball, and when she getsthe zoomies it's so wonderful to watch. But she mostly just lovescurling up near you and drifting off to a comfortable snooze.Ultimately, this kitty just likes to be close to her human! She likesto loaf on top of you in bed, turn into a purr machine, and makebiscuits on your chin. She does also like to play, but only withhands, not toys. She's gotten much better at not playing with herclaws, but it's also worth noting that sometimes she gets excitedand her teeth get involved too. She loves treats and cheese andbird-watching from her window perch. Pats, snuggles, andcuddles are still very much on her terms--there are some placesshe doesn't like to be touched, and some times she will notabide being touched. But when she reaches our her paws, andgrants you the honor of approaching you for head scratches, shoving her face as close to yours as physically possible, you'llfeel like the luckiest person in the entire world. She's one of themost beautiful kitties you'll ever come across, and if you makeher feel safe and loved, she'll return the favor ten times over. Primary Color: Gray Weight: 6.34 Age: 7yrs 1mths 3wks
