My story

Meet Colter! He's a complex soul and needs someone to understand that there is a sweet boy inside a quirky body. He absolutely loves snuggles, but he prefers jumping in your lap instead of being picked up. He really enjoys people, but definitely is not a fan of young children. Loud noises spook him a little, but he could look out a window all day. He likes playing with wand toys and loves cat scratchers. Colter needs a family who understands he would thrive the best as a solo pet who gets all the attention. Being in a foster home with other cats has taught him some tolerance and one other older cat as a sibling wouldn't be so bad (with proper introduction). He needs patience and is very good at giving cues when he becomes uncomfortable. His demeanor has calmed down drastically while he has stayed at his foster home, but unfortunately there are too many other cats for him to feel completely relaxed. However, this progress is proof that with enough time and love in the appropriate environment, he will continue to blossom. He deserves love at a patient pace. We just know his perfect forever family is out there. Could you be the key to unlocking this complicated soul? Come meet him. Colter is FIV+ (don’t worry they can have normal lifespans) and his approximate date of birth is 2018. --- All of our cats/kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated against Distemper, and treated for fleas and other parasites. --- Adoption center is located at 7962 CLYDE PARK SW, BYRON CENTER MI 49315. Our shelter is open by appointment only. Applications must be submitted and approved before appointments will be set.
