My story

I am a 1-year-old boxer mix that showed up at the Dallas shelter as a stray. I am a very smart puppy and I love to play so “Player” is my foster’s nickname for me.I got along great at my Texas foster’s home with all the resident dogs. I can play with a dog with my same energy for hours.I love all people and I make new friends everywhere I go. I’m great with kids of all ages. I am great on a leash and love my daily walks. I come when I am called. My TX foster did not introduce me to cats. I really enjoy car rides as I want to go anywhere with my family.I even want to be with you when I go the bathroom. My foster friend, Ladybug, taught me the art of drinking from the toilet bowl and that toilet paper is a dog toy. Please be sure and close your bathroom door.I’m still a bit of a puppy so I enjoy a good barrow bone or no hide treat in my crate. I am very treat motivated so I know sit and I am working on down.I’m medium energy as I like to play but can also be a couch potato. I enjoy a spot next to you on the couch to sit in and watch TV. I am an outstanding ball retriever…tennis ball, hard plastic ball…it doesn’t matter. My command is to “Fetch it up!”I sleep quietly through the night in a crate in a room with my foster siblings. I like to share a dog bed with my foster friends too. I am potty trained. I am crate trained.I love to play in the pool. When I can submerge my whole head in the pool to retrieve a ball or dog toy, even better.I ate a cup of dry kibble in the morning and a cup or dry kibble in the evening..
