Hazel’s journey started when she was surrendered as a puppy, but she never let her spirit dim. From her first days in foster care, Hazel showed just how much love she had to give — soaking up every cuddle and eagerly seeking out the company of people. Smart and eager to please, Hazel quickly mastered potty training and learned to navigate doggie doors like a pro. She’s wonderful on a leash and thrives on walks and hikes, always staying close and wagging her tail at every new adventure. But her true joy? Water! Hazel’s eyes light up at the sight of a hose — she'll happily chase, splash, and play to her heart's content. Though her serious face might fool you, Hazel is pure sweetness through and through. She adores couch time, leaning her head against you with complete trust, ready to share a quiet moment or an afternoon nap. Hazel is searching for a family who will see past her tough look and fall for the soft-hearted, playful girl she truly is. Hazel is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY, or all along the East Coast for an additional $225 transport fee. (Please note: we do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.)
