My story

Jester has been with AJL for two years & has spent most of that time in boarding. While we have phenomenal boarding partners who have loved Jester as their own, we are eager to get him placed in a foster home… or even better, a forever home! Jester was stray that was spotted roaming White Oak Bayou in the Houston heat. Jester’s heroes spent weeks trying to catch him with no luck. Then one day, Jester followed a runner and his dog home. The runner was able to bring Jester safely inside his home & even fostered him for a while. Jester did great with his original foster and got along well with the resident pup but unfortunately, Jester developed separation anxiety and his behaviors became disruptive to his foster’s neighbors. We quickly placed him in an amazing board and train program where he learned a ton but unfortunately we were unable to find a long term foster for him, so he was placed in boarding where he’s been ever since. While boarding isn’t ideal, Jester has grown SO much while in boarding. Boarding has exposed Jester to routine & because his boarders make him feel safe and loved, his anxiety no longer controls his life. Jester is an amazing dog that has overcome so much in his short life. He is handsome, healthy, an A+ cuddler (perfect little spoon), and gives the BEST kisses. Jester loves people and will do anything to make his person smile. His ideal home would be a household with multiple people with flexible schedules, another dog sibling that enjoys playing, and someone who enjoys putting energy & time into their bond with their most loyal best friend. Want to learn more about Jester and potentially meet him? Then fill an application and we will be in touch! Jester needs a new foster home. Fostering is a great way to see if you are ready to adopt, if Jester is the right fit or just to help him along in his journey to find his forever home. If you would like to foster this dog, please contact AJL here: https://www.animaljusticeleague.org/foster/app

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jester, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
