Viper

My story

Meet Viper! He’s such a fine young gentleman who has had the worst luck! Viper came into a local veterinary hospital as a good Samaritan surrender with an infected bite wound that look like a snake bite. Once he was stabilized, he came to our organization. He’s such a sweet boy and loves to sit in laps. He does have an independent streak and will tell you when he is done with your attention and would like to be left alone. This made his first adoptive home not a suitable fit. They had toddlers that did not give him personal space at all. He was then returned to us and we found him a second home. This guy was the perfect fit! They got along famously. Unfortunately, after almost a year, his romantic relationship progressed and they moved in together. His partner was allergic to cats. So Viper was returned yet again. He then found a home with another family that had older children and a cat. Supposedly Viper did not appreciate the other cat. He tried to go after her. We did ask them what happened when he went after her and they said that they didn’t know because they always separated them. They also said they bought a shock collar for Viper and anytime he went close to her, they would make it go off. At that point, we said OK it’s time for him to come back to us right now! Since they used that collar anytime he went near another cat, we believe that it is very important that he goes to a home with no other animals. He is probably always going to think another animal is planning to hurt him between the bite wound that happened before we got him and now the shocks that would go through him anytime he approached another cat. Our hearts just bleed for him! This boy is so precious. He just wants human affection and a happy loving stable forever home Do you think you could give that to him?
