** Poppy is currently in our shelter. She is available for foster or adoption! Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **Meet Poppy, the sweetest dog you`ll ever meet! Her joyful smile and loving nature will brighten your day, and she’s always ready with extra kisses when you need them most. Poppy is a cuddle expert and a proud couch queen who loves snuggling under blankets while her gentle snoring makes the perfect white noise.Poppy adores people and is a social butterfly on walks, greeting everyone she meets with enthusiasm and a big smile. She`s house trained, crate trained, and knows when it’s time to go outside. Poppy is a calm and content companion, and she’s proven to be an angel when left alone at home. She`s also previously lived with kids! Poppy is a sweetie, and we think her ideal home could be a leashed walks or a backyard kinda spot. She`s handled the leash life with clear communication, redirection and a little management. Other dogs stress her out so much that she vocalizes and pulls very hard. She needs to avoid them. Yard time is more relaxing and that`s where we see her at her silliest. She loves to chase the water hose.
