My story

Meet Marvin! He will greet you like you are already his best friend, and his friendly nature and stunning eyes will win you over in no time. If you are looking for a house-trained dog who enjoys games of fetch and cuddling on the couch, then Marv just might be the one for you! Marvin's favorite things: - Sniffing for treats in blankets, snuffle mats, grass, cardboard boxes, etc.- Marv loves to use his nose and eat treats! - Cuddling - Playing fetch and catch - Patrolling the yard for squirrels - De-squeaking squeaky toys Cues Marv has been learning and practicing: - Sit - Wait - Touch - Recall - Let's Go Marvin is a big boy, and he tends to jump when he's excited, so he would do best in a home without small children. Marvin is uncomfortable around most dogs, so he is looking for an adopter who can manage his environment and continue his training to help him in stressful situations. How am I doing in foster? "Marvin is a great companion. He makes me smile and laugh every day with his goofy antics and adorable expressions. He is a super cuddlebug, and it is so comforting having him curled up next to me while I watch tv and sleep at night. He loves fetch, and he will happily chase a ball for 20 minutes, then be ready for a rest. He is smart and very enthusiastic about food, so positive reinforcement training with him is a lot of fun! He has not had accidents and has not been destructive when left home alone. He enjoys sniffy walks, we just have to be a little careful about where and when we walk since he can get pretty nervous if other dogs are too close. He also seems perfectly happy just doing activities at home in the fenced yard and inside. With a very slow introduction, he has become friends with the neighbor dog, and they like to run around together in the yard!" - Marvin's foster mom My adoption comes with some extra benefits at the time of adoption! I hope to meet you soon! Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
