My story

💛 Say Hello to Cumin — The Watchful Big Brother with a Soft Heart and a Derpy Soul (Bonded with Turmeric – must be adopted together) Ooooo Cumin. This boy is the thoughtful, slightly derpy, most delightful goofball of an older sibling you’ll ever meet. He’s always kept an eye out for his brother Turmeric. Having grown up on the streets, he learned to be cautious—but food, toys, and Turmeric’s goofball energy are the keys to unlocking his playful heart. He’s a chill dude often found lounging in the oddest spots and in the weirdest, most questionable positions, and somehow he always looks like he just woke up from a nap he didn’t know he was taking. He might not hop on your lap, but he’ll gladly share your space and vibe quietly beside you. Cumin is the shyer of the two, but don’t let that fool you—he’s making brave little steps every day. He’s just started actively approaching his foster dad for pets (huge progress!), and while he still hasn’t let most people touch him, he’s got a soft spot for sneaky affection. His favorite move? He’ll only approach and ask for pets while the humans are on the toilet—because apparently, that’s when humans are at their most vulnerable and least threatening.  He’s not one to hide when guests come over (unlike Turmeric), but he’s still cautious—unless food is involved. Then all bets are off. Cumin becomes a very vocal, very determined little guy when there’s wet food or treats in play. He also loves toys, especially wand toys that get him leaping and pouncing like a kitten on a mission. His expressiveness is at its peak cuteness when he’s calling for his brother to join in the fun during their adorable game of “Marco Polo” meows.  Cumin is slowly learning the joys of affection. Watching his brother bask in butt pats has inspired him—he’s now started asking for them too! He especially loves gentle neck and head scritches—get those right and you’ll unlock his loud, rumbly purrs and turn them on full blast. Cumin and Turmeric truly complete each other. Where one is shy, the other is confident. Where one is silly, the other is even sillier. These two are a purrfect pair. They comfort each other, entertain each other, and love playing with other cats, whether as younger siblings or the new uncles to kittens in the home.  They’re gentle, goofy, and full of love—and once they’re comfortable, they’ll be your rainy day cure and constant companions. Although they’ll need time to adjust in a new space; once they do, they’ll reward you with endless love, laughs, and a bond you’ll never want to break.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cumin bonded Turmeric, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
