My story

Hi there, I'm Ernest! At 6 years young, I'm a big-hearted, happy guy looking for my forever family. I'm known as the shelter's gentle giant, and I promise, my love is as big as my paws! I'm great with most dogs and even love hanging out with kids - I'm pretty much everyone's friend. The only thing is, I do have a high prey drive, so I'd prefer a home without cats. I'm one of the cleanest dogs in the kennel and totally housebroken - no messes with me! Plus, I walk like a pro on a leash, so I'll be the best partner for those relaxed neighborhood strolls. Because of my collapsed trachea, I do need to wear a harness on our walks, but that just means you get to dress me up in some cool styles! All I want is a safe, loving home where I can be myself and be loved furever. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal buddy who's ready to fill your life with joy, I'm your guy.
