Meet Bonnie, the epitome of a laid-back and easygoing pup. Bonnie is a friendly and gentle girl who effortlessly charms everyone she meets.Bonnie originally came to us as a stray on 5/28/24 and was quickly adopted due to her loving and kind personality. She was sadly returned 3 days later though due to the landlord not approving of her. Since being back Bonnie has remained friendly and has been a staff and volunteer favorite. She has done well on day trips and even went to short term foster and got a 10/10 review! During a recent dog meet, Bonnie showcased her chill demeanor and social skills, greeting with lots of friendly sniffs and relaxed body language. She loves to say hello to all! Bonnie knows how to sit on command and is always eager to please and bask in your praise. With her sweet disposition and affectionate nature, Bonnie is a delightful companion ready to bring joy and warmth to her forever home. She is very playful, and a great snuggler for a nap. Gives 10/10 kisses. 6/20/24 per Day trip: We had a great afternoon with Bonnie. She is a precious girl and very friendly. Whomever adopts her would be lucky. 1-She was great in the car. We hit a lot of unexpected traffic and she was a trooper. She travels very well! 2-She enjoyed snuggling and is very friendly. 3-Our daughters apartment has a dog bath station and we cleaned her up. She was excellent and her coat looked beautiful afterwards. We stopped for chicken nuggets at McDonald's on the way home and they were a favorite. We loved our time with her and hope that she us scooped up soon. Please let me know if you cannot see my pictures, thanks. 6/18/24 per staff: Bonnie went outside for activity time today. Bonnie was laying down on the back side of her kennel and came right up to me when she saw me. She gave soft eyes and a wagging tail. When I opened the kennel door she sat right in front of the door and waited patiently to be leashed. Bonnie is very easy to leash and pulled minimally. Once we were outside Bonnie went to the bathroom and went into a run she wanted to. In the big run she jumped right up on my lap and demanded some pets, pushing her entire weight on me and giving face kisses. Bonnie and I played with a stuffed monkey for a while before she dropped it and came over again for more cuddles. After tons of affection she chased me around slowly trotting and we went back to her kennel. 6/17/24 per staff: Bonnie is such a sweetheart. She did try to push a couple times out of kennel but once she learned she wouldn't get out by pushing, she backed up and let me leash her easily. She walks great on leash and was loose and relaxed, had no reaction to barking dogs in the kennels. She was happy to be out and about and explored the yard and used the bathroom. She would come when I crouched down for gentle pets and leaned in and sat between my legs. She allowed all over handling and was super easy to handle. Hopped right back into her kennel. Good girl! 6/2/24 per volunteer: Bonnie is an easy-going, mellow dog but she's no slouch! She likes checking out her surroundings, is mildly curious when she sees other dogs, and walks really nicely on a leash. 6/2/24 per staff: Bonnie came out for activity time today. At the kennel Bonnie was laying down, looking up at the handler with soft eyes and a thumping wag. She got up once she her the kennel unclip and was very easy to leash. Bonnie walked slowly to the eval room with a wagging tail and curious eyes, looking around at her surroundings. Bonnie ran into a dog close to the eval room and gave some friendly sniffs and wags and kept walking away. Once in the eval room she followed the handler around, waiting for pets and treats. Bonnie takes treats very very softly and is the most gentle girl. She loves to cuddle and will push her body on you, giving little huffs and cute pig noises. Bonnie cries for attention when your focus isn't always on her and does entertain herself well. Bonnie showed little interest in toys, sniffed, cried and walked away from them. Bonnie is a love bug that only wants to cuddle and look lovingly into your eyes. 5/31/24 per volunteer: Bonnie was very easy to handle and a very laid back Dog. Had a good dog meet (with Nikki carpenter) where she did not get overly excited but was very friendly with lots of sniffs. She has loose body language and likes to say hello to you. She's a very sweet girl. She knows sit and also the hand command for sit and her tail wags when you tell her she's a good girl. 5/31/24 per staff: Very sweet and friendly, gentle and loving 5/28/24 per staff: Removed medium female pitty from front yard. Caller's daughter found the dog roaming down the street and she confined it in her yard
