My story

MEET LOANIE! SEE VIDEO!!!! - Loanie is in a foster home, please make an appointment to meet her!Loanie is one of the dogs who came to us directly from a shelter in the Bahamas. She is a shy but very sweet and playful girl who is new to life here in New England. She started her life at a shelter in the Bahamas living with a bunch of other dogs and being well cared for by the caretakers at the sanctuary. She has learned so much since she`s been with us, and is getting more comfortable with staff + volunteers everyday! We are starting to get an idea of her likes/dislikes and have come to realize she really is still very much a puppy at heart!A quiet/rural environment is best as she has no experience living in an urban environment and can be fearful of lots of noises, cars and bicycles. A fenced yard is a requirement due to her still learning to be on leash. If she has an opportunity to run, play and use the bathroom in a yard situation she can then slowly acclimate to leash walks at her own pace. Though she has her quirks, Loanie truly is a sweetheart. Please contact our Dedham branch to schedule a time to meet her - she`s easy to fall in love with!Loanie is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team.
