My story

Ghost is a handsome apparition who lived in one home his whole young life. His owner described him as a playful boy who loves toys and is crate trained. He has also reportedly done well with kids. Ghost is an active breed and still very much a puppy, so will do well with a dog savvy family who will work with him on training and positive reinforcement. Here’s what staff and volunteers have said:“Ghost had a family come in to meet him while he was in the yard today and they had three children, including two young ones. He did very well with them!”“I took Ghost out for a potential adopter today and he did well. There were two children that were very interested in petting him, but he was a bit nervous. Once I brought out my treats, he was much more interested in interacting with the children and took treats very gently from them. I made sure that the kids were petting him one at a time with their mom and Ghost allowed them to pet him. He was a bit more comfortable and would come sniff the kids. Very sweet and gentle boy!”“Ghost is a very calm and gentle guy and was easy to leash. He is a loose-leash walker and not reactive to other dogs in the park. He knows “sit” and takes treats gently. He loves to be petted.”“Ghost is such a sweet little guy and he’s come so far! He does great with kennelmates, is sweet and affectionate, is easy to handle, and is just overall a great dog. One of my favorites!”“I took Ghost to a play yard today to get a better photo of him. He was easy to leash and walked politely next to me on the way to the yard. Initially, he was nervous but he eventually began coming to me for attention. Ghost loves to be pet and is a LEANER! He will nudge your hand to get you to keep going if you stop petting him. He has a great `sit` and takes treats very gently. I found Ghost to be an endearing little buddy!”“I took Ghost and his kennelmate to the yard today. It was a joy to watch Ghost run around with a happy gait. He sniffed and explored and all the while was very respectful of his kennel mate. Ghost approached me for some pets and he takes treats very gently. He really liked cooling off under the misters in the yard. Ghost also jumped into the pool and cooled himself off. I could tell that he wanted to play with his kennelmate but she was more reserved. He read her cues and continued to amuse himself. He is a fun and friendly young dog.”Ghost can be a bit timid at times, but he enjoys pets and
