My story

Wanda is the total package: smart, sweet, and wonderfully balanced. She’s a gentle soul with a little “prance” in her step that will absolutely melt your heart. She’ll lean against your legs just to be close and loves to stretch out in the sun to “charge up” like a solar-powered sweetheart. Wanda has a great grasp on manners—she knows heel, sit, drop it, place, and even a solid no! She’s crate-trained, potty-trained (just give her the cue!), and doing amazing with her continued training. She’s also excellent on leash and a respectful greeter out in public—especially when spoken to in a calm, normal tone. Her energy is beautifully balanced. You’ll get a burst of zoomies followed by calm cuddles and independent bone-chewing right by your side. She thrives with just a few minutes of daily enrichment and loves to please. Wanda does well with other dogs, especially confident ones who help keep her grounded during play. She’s coexisted with cats before, though we’re unsure of her recent interactions, and she’s wonderfully gentle with kids. She’s a star in the car, too—ready to ride shotgun and be your favorite co-pilot. Wanda will do best in a home that values structure and continues the positive routine she’s come to love.
