True to his name, Romeo is a real charmer. He was rescued as a young stray in 2024 and has grown into a curious and active “mini-panther” who loves watching birds and squirrels out the window (and on YouTube CatTV). Romeo lives with two other cats in Elgin and gets along well with one of them. The third is very petite and docile, and is intimidated by Romeo. After over a year of trying to make it work, Romeo’s family is seeking to find him a new, loving home. This handsome boy would thrive as an only cat or with another playful and assertive cat. He’s smart and entertaining to live with, sleeps on the humans’ beds at night, and enjoys occasional lap time. Romeo loves ribbon wands, ping pong balls, and toy mice (especially the striped ones). He’s never lived dogs, and has minimal experience with young kids. He occasionally “talks with his teeth" (nips gently) which can be scary for little kids. Romeo is in excellent health, neutered and microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and has been very well cared for. Since being rescued he's learned how to be part of a family and would love to join yours!
