My story

Blue is a stunning, sweet soul who’s been through more than his fair share of tough times—and he's so ready for a fresh start. With his mesmerizing blue eyes and gentle brindle coat, Blue turns heads everywhere he goes. But what he really wants is someone to see him—not just how beautiful he is, but how deeply he longs to belong. Blue is struggling in the shelter environment. After spending over a year in a rural shelter before transferring to us, he’s now coping with the stress of another return. Despite everything, Blue continues to be the nicest boy—affectionate, playful, potty trained, and great on leash. He’s enjoyed multiple Dog’s Day Out adventures, where he’s shown just how amazing he can be: playing in creeks, walking calmly through the woods, and savoring every moment of a cheeseburger or pup cup. He’ll even play fetch by your side while keeping one eye on every chipmunk in the park. He’s been around other dogs and kids with success, and he loves the company. What he doesn’t love? Being left completely alone. Blue has high anxiety when crated or left by himself, and he needs a family with overlapping schedules to help him gradually adjust. A quiet, predictable home where he can decompress at his own pace would make a world of difference. Blue is ready to thrive—but he needs someone patient, consistent, and full of love.
