Lily Pearl was just a tiny kitten -- about 6-7 weeks old -- when she was found in the middle of a busy highway in Somerset, KY during a torrential downpour! Cars were going over her and one lady stopped, got this baby out of danger, then called SPCHS for help. We've named her Lily Pearl. Once she was safely in her foster home, she ate like she was starving. She is friendly and likes to be held. She's scheduled for standard kitten vetting (kitten vaccines, screening), and will be tested for FeLUK/FIV, spayed and micro-chipped when she is old enough. SPECIAL NEED: Lily Pearl S. has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. This means that she can only be adopted as the only cat in a home or adopted into a home with other FeLuk positive cats. Veterinary care over and above the care required for a cat that doesn't have this disease may be required. Due to the infectious nature of feline leukemia, she must always be an INDOOR ONLY cat.
