My story

Please welcome Tofu. He is a 10 years young chi mix. The mix part of him is super fluffy!!! He reminds me of a little Arctic fox minus the fluffy tail. He came to SAAP is pretty bad shape! He had a large open tumor on his backside and we learned that he had exposed dental roots. So, you can imagine the pain he must have been feeling. Jump forward to today and the tumor has been removed and he had extensive dental work. Good news!! The tumor was NOT cancerous!! Tofu has  bounced back to show us his true personality! He is now on two permanent daily meds - one for his thyroid (Levothyroxine Sodium .2mg twice a day). This can be purchased via Chewy for $3.60 a month and one to prevent seizures (phenobarbital 15mg twice a day). Foster mom purchased this through Walgreens for $3.46 for a month supply with a prescription discount card (original price was $15.99). He takes his pills like a champ - just mix them in his breakfast and dinner with can food or you can put them in some peanut butter and he will take it for you! He is a sweet little boy! He is fairly quiet until I am filling up the food bowls! He lets me know that he is ready to eat!! He seems to enjoy the lazy life! He just marches to the beat of his own drum.
