My story

MEET PETEY!*Looking for a dog friend!* Petey is a handsome staffy mix who is a little over a year old. He is a young, active guy who would make a great fit for many families. He enjoys playing with other dogs and has lived with cats previously. Petey is working on building his confidence and would do best with a doggy pal in the home. He is sweet and affectionate with his people, but does take some time to warm up to strangers. He can be nervous in new environments or with loud noises/traffic. He has some of his basic manners down, but continued positive reinforcement training would be helpful in building his confidence and helping him nail down things like basic obedience and housetraining. If you are interested in meeting Petey, stop by our Dedham shelter!Petey is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.For more information on Petey or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
