You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. A petite, social butterfly with a sweet meow and a face that you just can't say no to! Tea is an outgoing kitten who knows no fears! She‘s not even afraid of the vacuum! She‘ll crawl right up on you to say hello and show you love. She rambunctious (in a fun was!) and super playful while sweet and affectionate! Tea was what we call a “bottle baby“. She and her brother Sea were brought in as orphans at a very young age and hand-raised by their human foster mom. Both get along great with other kittens and cats, and would probably be okay with dogs, too! See below for more in-depth info :) Tea and her brother Sea are what we call 5pm babies. The pair were brought into the Hillsborough County shelter as itty bitty orphans. Since the shelter does not have staff to provide the around-the-clock care needed for little ones, they set a 4pm deadline for orphaned kittens to find a shelter foster or rescue to take them into their homes. Their deadline came and went. Rescues and fosters were full and their were other kittens also on deadline. It would have been the first day this kitten season the shelter had to euthanize kittens simply due to lack of foster or rescue commitment. It was absolutely heart-wrenching and we couldn't let these two down! They came to us upper respiratory issues and eye infections. They weren't yet eating on their own and required bottle/syringe feeding where they developed a strong appreciation of and affection for humans. They are now big (well, bigger than they were) and strong and ready for the forever family they almost never had the chance to get! Tea and Sea were raised in a foster home with a large, vocal dog. While they have only seen and met the dog from inside their enclosure, neither has ever been bothered by the barking or the dog's over enthusiasm when he sticks his face up to their enclosure! They've also met and interacted with other kittens in their foster home and get along well with them, as well as showing extreme interest in befriending the adult cats. Sea is a little food gremlin and LOVES wet food. She is currently eating Royal Canin Babycat wet food and Purina Pro Plan Kitten dry food. Interested in supporting Tea during her time in foster?
