My story

Are you looking for your next diamond-in-the-ruff? Clay it ain`t so! I`m a young guy with a clever brain and a heart of gold, so you could say I`ve got some `wheel appeal`! I`ve been spun around a few times in my short life, so all I really want is to find a smooth place to land and sculpt my `happily ever after`. Given the wedges and bumps in my foundation, I can be a little unsure of new people and situations sometimes, especially while I`m acclimating to new environments. But the truth is, I`m the gentlest soul you`ll ever meet. I always look to my people for guidance, so with the right tools (did somebody say snacks?) I can be shaped into a well-rounded pup! I`m super easy to train, too! I already know sit, down, paw, and I`ve almost mastered roll-over! I know, I know, you could say I`m kiln it. Aside from training, though, my favorite hobby is chillaxing. I love simply hanging out with my people, whether that`s laying around like a slab on the couch, going for a car ride, or maybe even playing a few rounds of my favorite game: tug! I`m still a young fellow, though, so every now and then I can get a little excited and jumpy, and some of my kisses come with nibbles (I love hard!). But never fear, my manners have come a really long way since I was a young lad, and we can continue to shape them. Hmm, what else about me... I`m working on my crate training, I`m hysterically awful at catching treats mid-air, I walk well on a harness, and I`m super clayful and loving! I can be a little unsure of other animals, as I`m a tad selective (hey, I`ve got standards, too!). But we can always do introductions at the shelter and give it a try! I`ve been around tiny humans in the past, but I`d prefer a home with older kids for now. Ermm... that`s all I can think of currently! Everything else you need to know, you can find out when we meet in person *wink*! So whaddya say? Do I sound like the pup you`re ready to mold into your next best friend? Then don`t just glaze -- let`s make a formal introduction!This pet is part of our Foster-to-Adopt program. You will meet this pet more than once before entering into a 3-week trial placement in your home. You will be matched with a behavior expert to help you and your pet through any bumps in the road during the trial placement. When all parties agree it is a match, we finalize the adoption!
