My story

Seeking: One Unicorn Adopter for a very special cat Toby is looking for a rare kind of adopter — the unicorn adopter. A unicorn adopter is the kind-hearted, patient, magical sort who sees beauty in the cats others pass by. This sweet six year old boy is truly one of a kind. He has a cute chirpy meow, a face full of character, and a soft spot for head scratches and head butts. He’s social and friendly with people, and once he feels at home he’ll happily show off his playful and affectionate side. He’s a sensitive guy who gets overwhelmed in new spaces and needs a little extra time to settle in. When stress creeps in, he copes by over-grooming as a form of self-soothing. Fortunately, he’s doing well with a daily anti-anxiety medication that’s easily administered by rubbing onto his inner ear once a day. Toby would prefer a peaceful home where he can feel safe and loved. He’s not a good fit for a loud or busy home, and he’d prefer no dogs or young kids. He might do okay with a calm, respectful cat friend. This special boy has waited a long time for someone to look past the things that make him a little different. We know his person is out there — could you be the one he’s been waiting for? Received test results on 6/22. Positive for Bordetella Bronchiseptica and Mycoplasma Felis. Started cat on Doxycycline (.5ml - twice a day) for 30 days. Foster states there has been improvement with his congestion and nasal discharge.
