My story

Meet Blitzen! Blitzen came to us as an owner surrender after his owner was no longer able to care for him. He loves to go on long walks in the woods during his time outside here at the shelter. Blitzen really values his space and independence and isn't the type of dog to beg for pets and affection. Once he is very comfortable with someone, he may allow some gentle petting, but we believe that his ideal home is one where his boundaries will be respected. Blitzen doesn't care for strangers, and because of this would not be a good candidate for communal living locations, like an apartment, and he would prefer a quieter location with fewer people walking around. He would do best in a home with just adults, and could live with another dog pending a successful meet and greet. Interested?
