Luna is a two year old, 40lb lab mix that is one of our longest residents, due to no fault of her own. She was mistreated by humans in her first few months of life and had accepted that all humans must be cruel. At only 10 weeks old, she had become so untrusting that she decided that she must become the aggressor to try her best to scare away people before they could hurt her again. Luna was surrendered to a shelter, and they had planned to euthanize her unless a rescue could take her. We answered the call and got her in with a foster who committed to completely changing Luna’s opinion of people. She is now a new and improved dog that can still be a little guarded at first, but warms up quickly as soon as she feels safe. She’s a sucker for treats, and will immediately be your best friend if you have a yummy snack to offer her. Luna is incredibly smart, learns to love new things, and would be a great fit for someone looking for an agility partner. She loves puzzles and hide and seek! She does enjoy fetch and playing with her other dog companions. Luna is a more submissive dog in the pack, and is non-reactive even with more aggressive dogs in play groups. She would do best with another young playful dog unless her humans were home a lot to keep her engaged. Luna enjoys car rides and travels easily. Luna is also good with cats. She is currently in a foster home and would love for you to come meet her! If you would like to foster to adopt Luna, please visit www.atlantalabrescue.com and apply. ##2090747##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Luna, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
