Approximate Date of Birth:3/17/2022 Description: Copper spent the first years of her life as a community cat. She showed up for food, but never came too close. Being shy and a bit timid and taking comfort in anonymity, she allowed the others to approach and eat before she tentatively took her turn. After finding a litter of kittens belonging to her that needed intervention, she was caught and brought indoors. Although extremely stressed and scared, she immediately took to caring for her kittens and surprisingly allowed the caretakers to stroke her in small doses. Being fluffy, she has had a couple of shower-baths after which she further surprised everyone by purring and assisting the towel drying by grooming herself. From that point on, Copper has grown to become a sweet presence amidst her lively and energetic babies. Although very scared at first, she settled down quickly and began to show signs of enjoying some attention. She is still hesitant and wary, vocalising her discomfort with a situation, but with some reassurance she starts to relax. Once her limit is reached, she will retreat to a quiet corner or cat condo to chill. Copper is a cat that is a pleasure to have around. She needs some attention, but she is easy to please. There is nothing she loves more than being groomed. She will settle for an all-body rub and scratches behind her ears and under her chin. With time to adjust and patient encouragement, she has great potential to be a cuddler.
