My story

Meet Joy starting 8/30!Joy is a quirky, energetic little lady who lives up to her name—she’s full of life and ready to brighten up her forever home!In her foster home, Joy has gotten along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, from a big gentle senior to smaller adult pups. She’s a social girl, but when it comes to cats, she can get a bit too curious—she may want to chase or play—so if her new family has feline friends, a very slow and careful introduction will be important.Joy hasn’t lived with children, but she’s eager to please and thrives in a structured environment. She’s doing great with her potty training and is a smart little learner who benefits from consistency and praise. Crates aren’t really her thing, but give her a good chew toy (or two, or three!) and she’s in heaven.Because Joy has lots of personality and can be vocal at times, she wouldn’t be the best fit for an apartment or shared-wall living. She’s not a pup who can be left alone all day—she truly wants to be part of her family’s life and daily routine. With continued training, love, and patience, she’ll blossom into the perfect companion.Joy is looking for someone who sees her spark, appreciates her playful quirks, and will give her the safe, happy home she deserves.
