My story

Meet Smudge!Smudge is a sweet, gentle boy who warms up to new people quickly—especially men! He’s friendly and easygoing, with no food or toy aggression. Smudge prefers the company of female dogs and those his size, as he’s not a fan of smaller dogs or male dogs of similar stature. His play style can be a bit rough, so he does best with well-socialized dogs who can give him clear corrections. While he enjoys canine company, he can get overwhelmed in large groups and would do best in a home that avoids dog parks.One of Smudge’s favorite things in the world is car rides! Whether it’s a quick trip or a long road adventure, he’s a fantastic passenger. He’s also house-trained, though he may need a potty break if left alone for more than six hours during the day.Smudge is smart, eager to please, and extremely food-motivated. He’s been working on basic commands like sit, stay, and leave it and is making great progress! With an experienced handler, his training could go even further.More than anything, Smudge loves spending time with his people—whether you’re out and about or just relaxing at home. He’s the perfect companion for cozy movie nights and everyday adventures alike.Could Smudge be your new best friend?
