My story

Meet Matt! This lovable big guy has been thriving in his foster home, and his foster family is excited to share all the reasons why he’s such a catch. Matt is a total snuggle bug who doesn’t realize his size—he’s happiest curled up with his humans. He’s calm and quiet, content to chill while his foster family works from home, though he’ll occasionally pop up for a quick hug or to say hello during Zoom calls.Matt is house-trained and hasn’t had a single accident, plus he’s crate-trained and happily goes into his crate when pointed to it. His manners are impeccable—he sits patiently for his harness, during poop pickup, and when it’s time for meals. He’s gentle when taking treats, loves playing with toys, and isn’t destructive.While Matt adores people of all ages, his strength and size make him better suited for families with older kids. His foster family’s 10- and 12-year-old daughters adore him, though they don’t hold his leash yet because of his strength. Matt is still working on leash skills, as he tends to pull, but he’s making progress. He’d do best in a home without other pets, as he isn’t a fan of other dogs and hasn’t been tested with other animals.With his playful personality, his love for people, and his adorable “nosehawk,” Matt is truly one of a kind. He’s ready to bring love, snuggles, and lots of smiles to his forever home—could he be the perfect match for you?
