My story

***Adoption Fee WAIVED***I'm Loki and I've been patiently waiting for my forever home. I came to SAVE after being rescued by the police because my owner intentionally starved me. I was painfully thin but the folks at SAVE put me on a feeding schedule and I slowly gained weight to be the boy you see today! Folks were worried I may have food or resource guarding but I do not. But boy, do I love treats! I'll do anything to get them which is why I know a lot of commands.I can be shy when you first meet me, but I quickly come out of my shell. Volunteers even take me into town and I do great! But I am most happy hanging out with my people. I am very cuddly and folks tell me I give good hugs. I'm a happy dog and they did my DNA - I'm 30% sharpei! The rest of my DNA is pretty much mixed. I really like other dogs, especially puppies, but it's best that I don't live in a house with them. I don't always like to share my things with other dogs. But I'm happy to share them with you! Oh, and no cats, too. I should be your one and only and I'm all you'll need!Post Adoption Training Scholarship (PATS)At SAVE, we understand that the current economy presents challenges, and this impacts dog adoption rates. To ease the financial burden on adopters and help our adoptable dogs find their forever homes, we are excited to introduce the Post Adoption Training Scholarship (PATS) program. This initiative funds the first five training sessions with a qualified trainer for select medium and large breed dogs, identified in their adoption bios.
