My story

WE ONLY REPLY TO ADOPTION APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED THROUGH OUR WEBSITE, SAVEKITTENSLA.ORG Hi, my name is Dove! Just like my namesake bird, I am incredibly affectionate right away. I`m warm, friendly, and gentle, and will let you know how happy I am with a nice, loud purr. I have a sunny outlook on life, despite starting out on the streets before being taken in by some caring humans. The day I was taken in was such a great day. My life completely changed for the best. Even though I`m always up for pets and belly rubs, I`m very independent and will happily find a cozy spot and hang out there all day, taking in the safety and comfort of being inside. You’ll always know where I am if you stop and listen for my little coos that inspired my name. I really enjoy spending time with my humans and am always up for a pet-- but only like to cuddle occasionally. I prefer being the only animal in the house. We do very high volume spay/neuter, but we take an extremely personalized approach to all the babies we rescue. We NEVER adopt kitties who will be allowed to go outside or declawed & we require all our adopters understand a FOREVER home means 15+ years. Please note all applicants will be subject to a home check before an adoption is finalized.
