My story

Meet Kenna: A Gentle Soul Ready for a Fresh Start Kenna’s journey hasn’t been easy, but she’s proven to be a loving and resilient companion. She was found in Memphis and surrendered to the Animal Emergency Center, a stressful environment for any dog. When we first met her, Kenna was shy and withdrawn, showing signs of having been mistreated in the past. If approached too quickly, she’ll lay flat on the floor—a heartbreaking reminder of her difficult experiences. At around 35-40 lbs., Kenna is a medium-sized dog with a heart full of love. Despite her timidness, she adores human affection and loves nothing more than resting her head in your lap for comfort. She’s gentle, easy to handle, and good with children, making her a wonderful companion for a patient, understanding family. Kenna still needs some work to build her confidence and trust around people, but with time and love, she’s sure to blossom into a happy, well-adjusted dog. She has so much potential and deserves a home where she can feel safe and loved.
