My foster writes: All Chloe wants in this world is to get pets and snooze (she wouldn't mind the occasional bit of chicken or cheese, either). She loves to cuddle up to your side and nuzzle you for pets. Your stress levels immediately drop when you sit next to her on the couch and hear her gentle snoring. While she would certainly love to sleep in your bed with you, she has been crated at night in the bedroom and is happy to sleep in her own space. She rustles a bit when the sun comes up, but settles back down until you're ready to get up.Chloe is a very good walker who does not pull on the leash. She has been learning to pay attention to me on our walks (aforementioned chicken/cheese useful here). This has been helpful in reducing her excitement around other dogs we see as we walk.Chloe has been a very good girl when left home during the day. When I check in on her via the nanny cam she is usually snoozing on the couch or by the door. She doesn't get into any trouble while left alone and is perfectly house-trained.Chloe is the perfect age. She has a good amount of energy (can climb stairs, go on a fast walk, etc.) but isn't bouncing off the walls.Chloe truly is such a sweet girl and it's impossible to not fall in love with her when you meet her!A bit about me:Chloe was brought to Manhattan ACC after her owner was unable to care for her any longer. Good with other pets?Chloe was a little unsure when she greeted the another dog through a fence at the shelter. We always suggest slow introductions with resident pets, and we offer a 2-week trial adoption to help you see if Chloe is a good fit with your family. Since ACC doesn't test with cats, we're not sure how she'd do with feline friends, but we can help you with tips and advice!Good with kids?Due to the behavior seen in the care center, we feel that Chloe may be intimidated by young children. She needs a slow approach and time to warm up. Older, gentle children should have an in-depth interaction prior to adoption. How are my leash manners?Chloe mildly pulls on the leash. What is my behavior assessment?Chloe has been assessed as a Level 2 dog. Based on her behavior at the shelter, we believe Chloe might be a bit shy around young children. She needs a gentle approach and some time to feel comfortable. It's important to let Chloe warm up at her own pace and never force her to interact with new people. With patience and understanding, she'll make a wonderful companion.
