My story

Banjo is one of those dogs that you just feel when you meet him. He’s about a year old and honestly just a total vibe to hang out with. Banjo’s super smart, observant, and picks up new things fast—he already knows sit, paw, stay, down, leave it, and I know he could learn so much more if someone just gave him the chance. He’s social, loves to meet people of all ages and is just the kind of dog who makes you feel like you’ve known him forever. He’s crate trained, housebroken, loves playing fetch (seriously loves it), and is happy either running around with you or chilling out on the couch after a long day. He’s very food motivated too, which makes training even easier. The hardest part? Banjo doesn’t do well in the shelter environment. He gets stressed out here, and it’s heartbreaking because the dog you see in his kennel is not the real Banjo. Out of that stressful space, he’s calm, sweet, and honestly just wants to be someone’s buddy. He’s got such a noble little heart—he’s not asking for much, just a real, honest home where he can finally relax and be the amazing dog we know he is.
