Maeve is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Maeve is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized - Currently taking medication for anxiety support - Diagnosed with two heart defects, which will require regular meds and moderated exercise to avoid overexertion, and which may affect the quality and length of her life. More about Maeve: Housebroken: Yes Crate trained: She has minor separation distress, and has done well with free roam when she has toys and enrichment to keep her occupied Leash walking: Doing well overall, though can tend to be alert on walks and will sometimes pull toward squirrels. She'd do best in a quieter neighborhood. Dog social: She has done well with encountering dogs on walks, and would do best with slow intros to well-matched dog pals Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: She lived with a 6-year-old child in her prior foster home and did well, though may do best with slightly older kids as she can be a bit jumpy when excited Maeve likes: - Carrying her plush toys around the house - Covering you in kisses - Curling up somewhere soft for snuggle time, and getting all the pets! Maeve is an amazing pocket-pittie (40 lbs!) who would love to find a home with people (and older kids) who would be willing to snuggle with her adorable little face all day long. Taking on Maeve means getting a dog who will be obsessed with you (and squirrels, but mostly you), showering you with kisses and affection, all in a pint-sized little package. You also need to be prepared to be stopped constantly by admirers, as Maeve is truly the cutest pup on the planet! Maeve has done really well with kids 5+, though her enthusiasm sometimes manifests itself in jumping and giving lots of kisses. A yard would be great for Maeve, as she seems to prefer a private place to poop, and she also has the most adorable, jumpy zoomies that you need a yard to truly appreciate. Maeve does have a bit of FOMO when left alone, but has been doing really well when left in a room to mourn your absence with a peanut butter Kong and a comfy bed. Maeve's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor, and she is ready to give all the kisses to her person! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maeve, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
