Microchipped, DOB: July 4, 2016 Hi, my name is Clarice. My foster mom says I am a lovely little lady with a really big purr. Although the form says I’m 8, and technically a senior, I look and act younger and have kept my youthful figure. The last few months have been difficult for me. After I moved to Ontario, I had 2 surgeries. One was for a hernia and I healed very well. The second was for dental and I lost all my teeth except my lower canines. That doesn’t stop me from chomping away on kibble. Even though I’m small, I have a good appetite. At first, I was pretty scared in my foster home. But my foster mom gave me lots of time to get used to being in a new place. Gradually, I let her pet me and now I am happy to see her and always come to get scratches. I love when she scratches me at the back of my neck. I often sit next to her on the couch and put my front feet on her lap. Sometimes, when I’m feeling very brave, I sit on her lap. She tells me how good I am and I purr very loudly. I like to sit in the window and watch birds and people. I’m okay with other cats, though a little hesitant at first. My foster mom says I am getting braver and friendlier every day. She also says I am low maintenance, content with being near her and not screaming for constant attention, zooming around, climbing walls, or knocking things off shelves. If you adopt me, I know I will be a good companion for many years and we’ll enjoy our couch time together. I was owner surrendered to a shelter in Quebec and was transferred to Ontario (no, I don’t speak French). However, I would look very fetching in a beret. I have been fully vetted, microchipped and have received all my vaccinations. Note from my foster mom: Clarice has been easy to foster. She's very sweet, though shy. I think she would do well in a quiet environment where she can take a little time to warm up to her new person. I will miss her. Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $200.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Clarice Tabs, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
