My story

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Olivia is 2-1/2yo, weighs 50lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines and is microchipped.  She knows the following commands:  sit, stay, wait, fetch/return the ball.  Olivia's guardian adds:  "She has full access to the house.  We go on 5+ walks, dog park trips, etc. every day.  She sleeps at night in a crate.  She does great in the car.  She dislikes being alone." Olivia's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her: "Olivia is a very social, active girl who needs 24/7 access to a yard and a home with other dogs.  When I adopted her we (myself and the animal shelter) thought she was a quiet girl who was introverted and didn't need much exercise.  As she has gotten more comfortable and confident it is clear she has A LOT of energy and needs to be around other dogs and activity 24/7.  I have been sending her to daycare 2-3x a week but that is not sufficient and I cannot afford to send her any other days.  I have been in contact with her vet as well as local trainers to no avail." Olivia's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  "She occasionally struggles with incontinence and is currently on Proin." Olivia's guardian states the following regarding children:  Although Olivia hasn't lived with children, her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "I have babysat my nephews (infant, toddler) and she has done great". Olivia's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Olivia doesn't live with dogs, her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "Olivia LOVES being with dogs.  She's happiest when she sees other dogs/can play with them.  She has never bitten or lunged or been aggressive to other dogs when we are out on walks or at the dog park". Olivia's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Since Olivia doesn't live with nor has otherwise been around cats, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats. Olivia's guardian describes her as: Very active Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Olivia's guardian describes her ideal future home: "- 24/7 access to a fully fenced yard - A large house where she can run and play indoors - Live in a house with other dogs/pets she can play with - Ideally, live with a couple/family. She has not enjoyed living with just me in the apartment." Rehoming Fee:  $50 Location:  New Market, MD***** ADOPTION PROCESS  1. If you are interested in ADOPTING me, please CLICK HERE:  ADOPT ME 2. When your application is received, a Placement Manager will do a basic screening. Applications will be forwarded to the owner for further screening and continuation in the adoption process.  3. Please give us 48-72 hours for a Placement Manager to respond after you submit your application. If it has been longer than that, please email:  rescuewellrehome@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE: We provide ALL of the information we have on this pet, here on this page, in its entirety from the pet's owner. For more on how our process works, please read our DISCLOSURE.   IMPORTANT: By completing an adoption application, you consent to Rescue Well screening your application, contacting your references, and forwarding your application to the pet owner for further consideration. All adoption decisions are determined by the owner.     October 26, 2024, 4:20 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt OLIVIA (COURTESY POST), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
