Ike & Tina

My story

Ike and Tina are 7-month old Akitas that were surrendered to the shelter because their previous family lost their home. They are both house trained, know basic commands and like attention. They appear to get along with other dogs, but Ike can get protective when larger dogs are around, so they would continue to need more positive training and socialization experiences with other dogs and people under well-managed and safe conditions. They would most likely do best with an experienced owner that can guide and train them as they continue to mature. Continued obedience work with an instructor familiar with Akitas and/or northern breed dogs is recommended.
