My story

My name is BDub and I was born on 5/15/2022. Long, beautiful coat - check! Heart of gold - check, lover when I feel safe - check. Skittish around new humans - guilty as charged. I came to the rescue as a kitten needing special TLC. Now, I have a clean bill of health, and pure heart. I am nervous around new people, but once I warm up, I come running for treats on the counter, jump on the bed for loving, and cuddle with others. If you get me a chair at the table, I will share your steak, and chicken, and other yummy meats. I do best with consistency and quiet. No yelling. *I need to be in a home where counters, beds, and humans are never off-limits. I need to be treated as a spoiled and pampered baby, almost human, as that is all I know. I need gentle love and time to adjust, but I can get there in the right home. I've proven it where I am currently, but need a place of my own. I hide when visited by new people, but come out when I'm in my element. We are a Christian based organization with a Mission to Improve the lives of cats. We specialize in cats that will bond closely, but would otherwise sit on the shelf because they are shy, or need special understanding, and would otherwise never know the love and comfort of a furever home. *Please do not adopt if you believe in disciplining a cat, including ‘water bottle training’. We are a behavioral rescue and believe in positive redirection to adjust behavior, rather than punishment with cats.
