My story

Jenny is the longest-staying dog in our care, and our hearts break a little more every day she’s overlooked. 😭 This beautiful girl continues to wait patiently, holding onto hope that her forever family is out there somewhere. If you remember her story, Jenny arrived to us malnourished, covered in mange, and caring for two 6 month old puppies. Just days later after receiving her in our care — she surprised us all by giving birth to 10 more puppies! Jenny was the most incredible mom, raising her babies with love and tenderness until each one found a forever home. But Jenny is still waiting for hers. Jenny is a ray of sunshine with a goofy, playful, and loving personality. She loves outdoor adventures, cuddle sessions on the couch, and being the loyal sidekick you didn’t know you needed. She currently thrives in a foster home with multiple dogs, acting as the gentle “momma bear” of the pack. She’s dog, cat, and kid-friendly and has so much love to give. Jenny does have a rare skin condition that causes keratin growths (keratin horns) on her body. She requires injections every 4-6 weeks to manage discomfort and stay healthy — but it doesn’t slow her down or dim her spirit. Jenny’s been through so much. She’s waited long enough. Now she just needs someone to look past her medical needs and see the incredible, joyful, and loyal soul she is. Jenny’s adoption fee is waived to help her new family with ongoing medical costs. Through it all, Jenny has built herself a whole support system of fosters, volunteers, and friends cheering her on every step of the way.
